Questions and Answers
What Services Do You Provide?
Ablework Station offers a wide range of storage and prep services. Having a trusted partner when dealing with your inventory is critical. Whether you have a simple labeling project for a few dozen units or you have multiple shipping containers to warehouse, we can help.
What is a 3PL and Prep Center?
3PL is short for 3rd Party Logistics. When you’re selling products they have to move from manufacturer to buyer. Between the two are the logistics. Inventory can move via truck, train, airplane, or ships. But what’s the best option for you and what do you do with that inventory before it reaches the buyer? Ablework Station handles inventory storage, shipping, product labeling, FBA Prep, and many other services related to online retailers.
How are services billed?
All of our prices are on an as-needed basis and can be found on our Pricing page. We do not have minimum quantity levels or on-going monthly charges. You are only billed for the services actually used.
What Information Should Be On The Cartons?
All shipments from your supplier must have carton labels that list the following:
- Your Brand or Company Name (or both)
- Short Description of the Goods
- Quantity of Cartons in the shipment
- Unit Count (How many units are in the box)
- Carton Count (Box 9 of 63, Box 45 of 63, etc)

Which Amazon Fulfillment Center Is Closest?
We are just a few miles from both FTW1 and DFW1.
I have an FBA removal order...
When your inventory was originally sent to Amazon the first thing they do is open the cartons and distribute the units throughout their fulfillment center network. This means when you submit a Removal Order with Amazon each fulfillment center gathers up the units they have and ships them to us in various Amazon boxes and packages. We receive the goods, check them in, and will complete any Work Orders you have submitted through out Access System.
How do I notify you to send out a shipment?
Through the Access online portal you can submit a Work Order for Carton Forwarding. We will pull the desired units or cartons and get them sent out.
What is the Turn Around Time?
Most shipping requests are processed either the same day or the next business day. Large or complex requests may take a little longer. We make it a priority to get your Work Orders completed as quickly as possible.
How Do I Create An Account?
An account can easily be created using our secure online form here. A confirmation email will be sent to you within 1 business day.
Where Should I Send My Shipments?

When Is My Account Billed?
Accounts are billed on the 1st of the month for all fees during that billing cycle. Also, if the last of your inventory is being shipped out your account will be billed prior to the shipment.
LTL vs. SPD and when should I use them?
Amazon Fulfillment Centers accept shipments in two primary ways: Small Parcel Delivery (SPD) or LTL (Less Than Truckload, or palletized freight)
SPD shipments are most commonly sent to Amazon via UPS. Ablework Station has daily UPS pickups from our warehouse and shipments typically arrive at Amazon within 1-2 business days. SPD shipments cost a little more, but get to Amazon much faster than LTL shipments.
LTL shipments are scheduled by Amazon and they dictate when the shipment will be picked up and delivered. When you create an LTL shipment in your Seller Central account you must request a lift gate or box truck for the shipments.
